I am a Client Care Coordinator at Hillside. My role entails checking vital signs, administering medications, and performing TB tests. In addition, I also ensure clients remain physically and emotionally stable.
I went to school at Caring For Life in Jacksonville, NC. At Caring For Life, I took a combination course for Clinical Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, and EKG Technician. Through the National Healthcare Association, I am certified as a Clinical Medical Assistant. Additionally, I hold a Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) for Healthcare Providers Certification through the American Heart Association. Before coming to Hillside, I worked at a Primary and Urgent Care in North Carolina for roughly two years. I am currently attending Saddleback College to further my education and become a Registered Nurse.
I love working at Hillside because I love positively impacting clients’ lives. Meeting kind individuals from all walks of life struggling with addiction has been an eye-opening experience. It is extremely rewarding to be able to help others in their time of need.
I love working in the addiction industry because addiction is one of the hardest illnesses to battle. Addiction does not discriminate on who it affects. Working in this industry has proven to me that no matter how low a person gets in life, every single person is worthy and deserving of compassion, support, and respect.
Professionally, I am most passionate about encouraging clients to blossom into the happiest and healthiest versions of themselves. Personally, I am passionate about powerlifting, hiking, and taking care of my adorable dogs.
