I am the nursing department manager, overseeing all medical staff and client care operations. I decided to pursue nursing after my father experienced a nearly fatal heart attack. I remember how scared and worried my family and I were during that time. The nurses at the hospital made my family and I feel hopeful. They attended to my dad day and night and cared for my mother, sister and I as well. I knew after going through that, that I wanted to be able to provide that for people. A little bit of hope in what may be the most difficult time of a person’s life. I graduated from CNI college as an LVN and plan to purse a BSN in the near future.
I love working at Hillside Mission because it gives me the opportunity to watch clients grow within our walls. Our staff all have a very client focused approach and it makes coming to work fun and motivating.
I work in this industry because I feel that SUD and behavioral health remain and undeserved population. I am excited to be on some of the front lines helping to reduce stigma and give clients a chance to recover.
I am passionate about patient care and utilizing all of the scientific and technological advances available to provide the best care possible. Personally, I am passionate about my family, my personal Recovery and the Los Angeles Lakers!
